Salicornia blackiana
Ulbr.Decumbent to shortly erect, often stoloniferous perennial, to c. 60 cm high. Branches with articles narrowly obovoid, cylindric or barrel-shaped mostly 5–15 mm long, sometimes glaucous. Spikes 1–6 cm long, 4–9 mm diam. in fruit. Flowers 10–26 per false whorl, in a single row or with the central florets in two tiers. Seed circular, covered at least around perimeter with short, spreading papillae. Flowers most of year.
LoM, MuM, Wim, Brid, VVP, GipP, OtP, WaP, DunT, EGL, WPro, OtR, Strz. Also WA, SA, Tas. In Victoria occasional in coastal and estuary saltmarsh communities (e.g. Portland, Point Lonsdale, near Geelong, Corner Inlet, Lake Reeve), uncommon inland in the north-west (e.g. Pink Lakes near Underbool, Dimboola area). Sometimes occurring with S. quinqueflora.
