Stems mostly to c. 1 m long. Leaves 4–11 cm long; leaflets mostly uniform, oblong to obovate, 5–15 mm wide, obtuse or emarginate. Calyx 12–16 mm long, teeth triangular-subulate, equal to or longer than tube; corolla 18–26 mm long. Pod 4–6 cm long, 4–6 mm wide, not constricted between seeds, dark brown, usually glabrous; seeds globose, 3–5 mm long. Flowers mainly spring.
VVP, MuF, CVU, DunT, HSF. Also naturalised WA, SA, NSW, ACT. Occasional weed in Victoria particularly on roadsides and other disturbed areas.
