Wim, GipP, Gold. Also SA. Extremely rare in Victoria, known only from 4 localities between Bendigo and Dimboola where it grows on sandy soil in Eucalyptus leucoxylon woodland.
Caladenia xanthochila is similar to C. stellata from southern NSW and eastern SA. It differs from that species in the labellum mid-lobe not usually being dark red and having almost entire margins, and the sepal clubs having contiguous glands.
