Perennial herb with trailing or twining stems, moderately to sparsely hairy, glabrescent. Mid-stem leaves linear to oblong, sometimes triangular, hastate or sagittate, 10–45 mm long, 3–20 mm wide, apex bluntly acute to obtuse, mucronulate, base truncate to shallowly cordate, margins entire to slightly undulate, hairs sparse to dense, silvery, appressed; petiole 2–8 mm long. Flowers 1; peduncles 8–30 mm long; pedicels 3–12 mm long, recurved in fruit, shorter than peduncles; bracteoles linear to subulate, 0.7–1.8 mm long; sepals obovate to orbicular, 2–3(–3.5) mm long, glabrous to sparsely hairy; corolla funnel-shaped, 5–10 mm long, pink or white, with a creamish-green throat. Capsule globose to globose-ovoid, 5–7 mm diam.; seeds finely punctate, bearing prominent raised tubercles, with an interrupted wing, glabrous. Flowers spring and summer.
MuM, RobP. Also SA, NSW. In Victoria, apparently confined to the far north-west (Karadoc, Murray-Sunset NP) and apparently very rare. Recorded from Callitris gracilis and Eucalyptus largiflorens woodlands, sometimes on limestone-based soils.
