Atriplex acutibractea
R.H.AndersonProcumbent or shrubby perennial, to c. 50 cm high, monoecious. Leaves subsessile, ovate, obovate or orbicular, 5–30 mm long, usually sinuate-dentate, grey or silvery on at least the lower surface. Flowers in small axillary clusters, sometimes forming short interrupted spikes, clusters unisexual or mixed. Fruiting bracteoles fused to about midway, somewhat expanded toward the apex, the lower half forming a slender or stout stipe, 2–8 mm long overall.

2 subspecies; plants of intermediate form and habit are recorded in zones of overlap in distribution of the subspecies. In Victoria the 2 seem geographically distinct, but this may be a reflection of incomplete collection of the species.
