Plants simple or few-branched from base. Leaves oblanceolate, to 10 mm long, 1.5 mm wide. Flowers solitary in axils. Sepals 1.5–2 mm long; petals 2–2.5 mm long. Mature capsules c. 2.5 mm long; seeds elliptic, 1.3–1.8 mm diam., virtually smooth. Flowers Nov.–Feb.
HSF, VAlp. Also NSW, Tas. New Zealand, North and South America, northern Eurasia. Known in Victoria by only 4 collections from mossy bogs on the eastern half of the Baw Baw Plateau.
