Zieria arborescens subsp. arborescens

Shrub or small tree to 7 m high; branchlets ridged, usually scurfy to pubescent with stellate hairs, or glabrescent, rarely faintly glandular-verrucose. Leaves trifoliolate; leaflets variable, narrow-elliptic, oblong or lanceolate, 30–125(–140) mm long, 6–26 mm wide, acute, discolorous, upper surface glabrous or glabrescent, lower surface glabrescent to stellate-tomentose, oil glands not obvious, margins entire, usually recurved; petiole 8–40 mm long. Inflorescence usually shorter than leaves, many-flowered. Sepals deltoid, 1.3–2.5 mm long, tomentose; petals 3–7 mm long, white, imbricate, pubescent; ovary glabrous. Follicles glabrous, with small terminal appendage, not warty; seed 2–3 mm long, red-brown to black, striated. Flowers Aug.–Dec.
