Columnar or conical tree or shrub to 5 m high. Leaves c. 4 mm long, dark green, outer side prominently keeled. Female cones usually clustered, ovoid, 1.8–2.5 mm diam. when open, distinctly longer than broad, persistent; scales thick, separating almost to base, dorsal surface smooth, with short thickened point near apex; alternate scales much reduced, larger scales narrowed upwards; columella 3-lobed, short.

GipP, HSF, Strz. Native to Tasmania.

Callitris oblonga has keeled leaves and 3-lobed to 3–4-partite columella like C. endlicheri and C. rhomboidea, but the cones are ovoid with the larger scales evenly tapered towards a blunt apex and much bigger than the alternate scales.
