Erect to spreading shrub to c. 60 cm high, leaves and young stems with centrifixed and glandular hairs. Leaves linear-cuneate to oblanceolate, 4–25 mm long, 2–5 mm wide, apex obtuse or truncate and usually 3-toothed, margins toothed, flat or folded lengthwise and convex below, subsessile, both surfaces green. Inflorescence terminal, consisting of 1–5 short cymes, each of 1–3 flowers, rarely more; bracts present; pedicels 2–12 mm long. Flowers 10–12 mm diam., deep blue, rarely white; calyx 3–4 mm long, lobes equal, linear-triangular to lanceolate, connate in lower third to half; corolla 5–8 mm long, tube short, lobes ovate to lanceolate; stamen filaments c. 1 mm long, anthers c. 2 mm long, appendages 1.5–3 mm long; style 5–8 mm long. Drupe with 1 or 2 seeds. Flowers throughout the year.

LoM, MuM, Wim, VRiv, RobP, MuF. Also WA, NT, SA, Qld. Often locally common throughout the far north-west of the State, usually in mallee communities.
