Leaves deeply ternately, biternately or palmately lobed with narrow-linear segments; margins entire or acutely toothed. Flowers Sep.–Nov.
LoM, MuM, Wim, VVP, VRiv, MuF, GipP, Gold, CVU, GGr, NIS, EGL, HNF. Also WA, SA, Qld, NSW. Apparently rather rare in Victoria, known from a few sites in the mid north-west, (e.g. Donald, Wyperfeld and Little Desert National Parks, Mt Arapiles), Moyston and Strathmerton areas, where apparently favouring heavier soils of swamps and seasonally inundated depressions.
This variety seems to represent merely the extreme state of dissection in a continuum of leaf division from that represented by the typical variety. Apparent intermediates between the two occur in western Victoria.
