Caladenia villosissima

Flowering plant 10–23 cm tall. Leaf 6–14 cm long, 6–9 mm wide, densely villous, often spotted red at base. Flower solitary; perianth segments 2–4.5 cm long, green with red central stripe; sepals tapered to a filiform, clubbed tail (club 9–12 mm long, with yellowish, separated, sessile glands); lateral sepals projected forwards, more or less parallel, asymmetric, dilated at base, 3.5–4 mm wide; petals deflexed, linear-lanceolate with an acuminate tip and thickened clubs 3–4 mm long. Labellum hinged, curved forward with lateral lobes erect and tip of mid-lobe curved under, prominently 3-lobed, 12–15 mm long and 13–16 mm wide (when flattened), green at base with dark purple mid-lobe, separated by broad white band; larger comb-teeth c. 3 mm long, not reaching the anther tip, mid-lobe irregularly and broadly toothed or scalloped; lamina calli in 4 rows, moderately crowded, extending onto base of mid-lobe, linear to narrowly club-shaped, to 3 mm long at base of labellum, shorter and with broader heads towards apex.
