Stems ± erect, to c. 25 cm high, weak. Leaves widely spaced, usually 15–22 mm long, filiform, thin textured, margins often with 1 or 2 lobes. Flowers Nov.–Apr.
GleP, VVP, OtP, WaP, GGr, EGL, WPro, HSF, MonT, HFE, VAlp. Also NSW, Tas. Scattered across eastern and southern Victoria where usually found in more overgrown swamps in heathland.
Although there is considerable overlap in the preferred habitats of the 2 subspecies, this taxon is generally found at lower altitudes than Myriophyllum pedunculatum subsp. pedunculatum.
