Dioicous. Plants glossy green or yellow-green, to 10 mm tall. Rhizoids brown or red-brown. Leaves imbricate, comose, erect-spreading when moist, appressed when dry, triangular-lanceolate, 1–2 mm long, concave; apex acuminate; costa percurrent or short excurrent; margin entire or serrulate toward apex, slightly recurved, without a border; laminal cells in apical half linear, over 100 μm long, 10–12 μm wide; basal cells quadrate; alar region clearly differentiated. Seta to 14 mm long, red-brown. Capsules horizontal to nodding, 2–3 mm long. Operculum low-conic.
