Erect perennial herb to 60 cm high. Stems moderately to densely tomentose with glandular and eglandular hairs and sessile glands. Leaves linear to narrowly oblong or narrowly oblong-obovate, to 7 cm long at base, smaller above, flat or recurved, sometimes undulate, tomentose with glandular and eglandular hairs and sessile glands. Capitula in terminal clusters. Involucre small; outer bracts yellow, ciliate, shortly woolly at base; intermediate bracts c. 4 mm long, glandular near apex, ciliate and shortly woolly near base. Female florets with c. 4–9 pappus bristles.
