Taxandria marginata

Leaves obovate to elliptic, often broadly so, 9–28 mm long, 4–10 mm wide, more or less flat, initially hairy, becoming sparsely sericeous or glabrescent, leaf margins usually fringed with appressed hairs, apex obtuse or somewhat acuminate; venation prominent, with 3–5 longitudinal veins; petiole 1–5 mm long. Flowers in axillary or terminal clusters; bract obtuse, hairy in distal half; hypanthium obconic, 2–3 mm long, hairy in distal part; sepals broadly ovate-triangular, 0.8–1.5 mm long, densely hairy; petals 1.5–3 mm long, white. Capsule cup-shaped to broadly turbinate, 2.5–3.5 mm diam., usually shortly hairy in distal half. Flowers Feb–Aug.

In Victoria, known from a single collection on the Mornington Peninsula, plants apparently escaping cultivation.
