Leporella
Terrestrial glabrous herbs, arising from rounded tubers. Leaves 1 or 2, basal, sheathing. Flowers with column uppermost, on flowering stem with sheathing bract in lower half; dorsal sepal broad, erect; lateral sepals narrow, deflexed against ovary; petals longer, erect. Labellum much wider than long, obscurely 3-lobed; lateral lobes large and dome-shaped, fringed or deeply combed towards front; mid-lobe much smaller, rounded, not recurved, less deeply combed, upper surface smooth or almost so. Column incurved, 2-winged.
An Australian genus of 1 species which is closely allied to the genera Leptoceras and Eriochilus.
