Plants 1–3 mm tall, yellow. Stem golden brown, not tomentose. Leaves erect-spreading when moist, slightly contorted and incurved when dry, linear to lanceolate, concave to carinate; apex acute, mucronate; costa excurrent as an orange mucro; margin entire, revolute in apical half. Seta 2–2.5 mm long, yellow, twisted right. Capsule erect, ellipsoid, straight or curved, yellow. Operculum oblique-rostrate,

GleP, GipP. Recorded twice in Victoria from disturbed sites in the far south-west of the state and in the Melbourne metropolitan area. New Zealand.
