Camelina sativa

Annual herbs to 80 cm high, simple or branched, glabrous or with sparse, minute branched hairs. Cauline leaves lanceolate to narrowly oblong, mostly 2–7(–9) cm long, 2–10 mm wide; margins usually entire. Inflorescence a dense raceme; pedicles ascending, up to 25 mm long. Sepals 2–3(–4) mm long; petals yellow, 4–5.5 mm long; filaments 1.5–3 mm long. Fruit pyriform or broadly obovoid, 7–9(–13) mm long, 4–5 mm wide; valves with prominent mindvein; style 1–2.5 mm long. Seeds 1.5–3 mm long.    Flowers and fruits Sep.–Nov.
