Mallee to 10 m tall. Adult leaves lanceolate to narrow-lanceolate, 6.5–12.5 cm long, 1–2(–2.5) cm wide, dull or slightly glossy, blue-green. Buds 0.8–1.3 cm long, 0.3–0.5 cm diam.; flowers creamy-white. Fruit to 0.8 cm long, 0.7 mm diam. Flowers Nov.–Jan.
LoM, MuM, Wim, MSB, RobP, CVU. In Victoria occurring in mallee country west from near Swan Hill, including Big Desert, Hattah and Sunset Country.
More widely distributed than E. oleosa with which it has been confused.
