Shrub or mallee, 2–5 m high; box-bark persistent to mid-stem. Juvenile leaves narrow-lanceolate, 5–9 cm long, 0.5–1 cm wide, blue-green. Adult leaves semi-erect, narrow-lanceolate to lanceolate, 5–9 cm long, 0.8–1.4 cm wide, blue-green to sub-glaucous. Inflorescence 7–11-flowered; peduncle 0.6–1.1 cm long; buds ovoid, 5–6 mm long, 3–4 mm diam., pedicles 2–3 mm long. Fruit hemispherical, cupular or globose-truncate, 4–6 mm long, 4–5 mm diam. Flowers autumn.
Wim. Apparently restricted to the Lawloit Range between Nhill and Kaniva, occurring on slopes of laterite rises.
Plants resembling this taxon have also been recorded in the Nurcoung area, further work is required to determine if these represent a disjunct population of this subspecies.
Resembles Eucalyptus odorata from South Australia. However, this subspecies may be distinguished from E. odorata by its smaller habit, and smaller juvenile and adult leaves, buds and fruit.
