Dillwynia phylicoides

Erect or sprawling shrub, to 1.5 m tall; stems covered with stiff spreading hairs. Leaves linear to narrow-oblong, spirally twisted, mostly 3–8 mm long, c. 0.5 mm wide, moderately crowded, covered with stiff hairs or virtually glabrous with a few stiff hairs near apex, smooth to tuberculate, apex acute to shortly acuminate, tip often incurved; petiole 0.2–0.5 mm long. Flowers 1–8 in sessile or subsessile, terminal or upper-axillary clusters; pedicel 1–2 mm long. Calyx 4–6 mm long, covered with stiff hairs or sometimes virtually glabrous; standard 7–12 mm long, notched, yellow with radiating red veins; wings shorter, oblong, yellow and red; keel shortest, obtuse, orange-red to purple-brown. Pod ovoid to globular, 4–7 mm long, 3–4 mm wide, villous; seeds usually 2. Flowers Sep.–Dec
