Dillwynia phylicoides
A.Cunn. Small-leaf Parrot-peaErect or sprawling shrub, to 1.5 m tall; stems covered with stiff spreading hairs. Leaves linear to narrow-oblong, spirally twisted, mostly 3–8 mm long, c. 0.5 mm wide, moderately crowded, covered with stiff hairs or virtually glabrous with a few stiff hairs near apex, smooth to tuberculate, apex acute to shortly acuminate, tip often incurved; petiole 0.2–0.5 mm long. Flowers 1–8 in sessile or subsessile, terminal or upper-axillary clusters; pedicel 1–2 mm long. Calyx 4–6 mm long, covered with stiff hairs or sometimes virtually glabrous; standard 7–12 mm long, notched, yellow with radiating red veins; wings shorter, oblong, yellow and red; keel shortest, obtuse, orange-red to purple-brown. Pod ovoid to globular, 4–7 mm long, 3–4 mm wide, villous; seeds usually 2. Flowers Sep.–Dec

The closely related D. retorta (J.C. Wendl.) Druce from New South Wales and Queensland differs in having completely glabrous, almost smooth leaves and usually longer (up to 2 cm) peduncles.
