Tufted perennial herb to 20 cm high. Stems slender, silvery-silky. Leaves filiform to very narrowly lanceolate, to 6 cm long at base, shorter above, revolute, silky. Capitula solitary or in compact clusters of up to 5 heads. Involucre hemispherical, to 4.5 mm long; outer bracts dull yellow, membranous, ciliate except for apex, woolly at base; intermediate bracts acuminate, to 4.5 mm long, ciliate and sparsely glandular near apex. Female florets with 1 or 2 pappus bristles; bristles shortly plumose at apex.
