Plants tufted, to c. 35 cm tall. Roots with elongate tubers 2.5–7.5 cm long, c. 7–10 cm distant from rootstock. Leaves few, subterete, 6–15 cm long, usually withered at time of flowering. Inflorescence erect, usually simple, rarely few-branched, with one terminal umbel and several sessile umbels along scape below; umbels 1–4-flowered; perianth segments spreading, 7–12 mm long, pale mauve; fringe on petals 2–3 mm long; stamens shorter than perianth segments, anthers curved, 3 outer c. 3.5 mm long, 3 inner c. 6.5 mm long. LoM, MuM, Wim, VRiv, MSB, RobP, MuF, Gold. Also WA, SA, NSW. Occurs on sandy soils in the north-west (northern Sunset Country near SA border, Murrayville area, Wyperfeld National Park) with an eastern outlier near Charlton, uncommon.
