Deyeuxia ramosa
C.M.Weiller & N.G.WalshSlender perennial, with fine, scabrous and many-branched stems, sprawling or climbing on vegetation, to 2 m high. Leaves finely ribbed; blade smooth to scabrous, flat, channelled or closely inrolled, l-10 cm long, 0.5–2 mm wide, usually spreading at almost right angles from stem; ligule membranous, truncate, 0.5–1 mm long. Inflorescence a sparse panicle, usually c. 10–20-flowered, ovate in outline, 5–10 cm long. Spike-lets c. 3 mm long, pale green or slightly purpled; glumes 2–2.7 mm long, subequal or the lower shorter by up to 0.5 mm, acute, distantly scabrous along the keel, gaping at maturity; lemma equal to or exceeding upper glume by up to 0.5 mm, indistinctly 5–7 nerved, minutely scabrous, awnless or awned from just below the apex; awn (when present) fine, straight, to c. 0.5 mm long, not or barely exceeding lemma and remaining appressed to it; callus hairs c. 0.5 mm long; rachilla bristle c. 1 mm long, with sparse hairs to 0.5 mm long; anthers c. 1.5 mm long. EGL. Known from a few collections in the far east, between Wingan Inlet and Mallacoota. Usually associated with riparian vegetation, sometimes entering lowland rainforest communities.
