Roots (5–)10–13(–18). Thallus elliptic to obovate, (3–)5–10 mm long, 5–10 mm wide (length to width ratio 1–1.5), with 7–16 veins; dorsal surface yellow-green; ventral surface usually purplish.

Also NT, Qld, NSW. Alsmost  cosmopolitan distribution in temperate to tropical regions. Very rare in Victoria, only known from 2 historical records from lagoons on the Upper Murray River near Towong and Biggara.
