Galium binifolium

Prostrate, scrambling or loosly caespitose annual or perennial; stems slender, mostly 20–50 cm long, with sparse tiny retrorse prickles, or less often with hairs to c. 0.3 mm long, occasionally weakly rhizomatous. Leaves and stipules subsessile, very unequal, in whorls of 4, narrow-elliptic, narrow oblong-elliptic or narrow-oblanceolate, 3–15 mm long, 1–4 mm wide, acute or minutely acuminate without a terminal hair, surfaces with scattered hairs mainly on midrib and margins; margins narrowly recurved or narrowly revolute. Inflorescences 1–6-flowered, exceeding whorls or not; peduncles (1–)2–13(–40) mm long; pedicels 0.1–8 mm long. Corolla 1.3–2 mm diam., greenish to greenish-cream, occasionally tinged with purple abaxially. Fruit depressed-globose, 1–1.2 mm long; mericarps broad-ellipsoid or slightly reniform, touching one another, rugose or ribbed, glabrous.
