Olearia passerinoides subsp. glutescens

Imperfectly distinguished from the typical subspecies, with no single character defining either taxon, and perhaps unsurprisingly, intermediates are encountered. Plants in Victoria appear somewhat depauperate in comparison to the more robust forms of O. passerinoides subsp. glutescens in South Australia. The Victorian population appears to be largely asexual, with little viable seed produced and plants extensively spreading via suckers. The reduction in leaf size and floret and capitula number seen in this population may be the result of isolation and inbreeding.
