Crotalaria agatiflora subsp. agatiflora
Woody subshrub, 1–2 m high; stems glabrous. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets broadly elliptic, ovate or lanceolate, 1–7 cm long, 10–35 mm wide, glabrous; petiole 3–12 cm long; stipules 4–12 mm long, linear, caducous. Raceme terminal, up to 40 cm long, many-flowered; peduncle stout; pedicles 10–15 mm long; bracts caducous; bracteoles 1–5 mm long, filiform, persistent. Flowers 20–55 mm long; calyx 1.5–3 cm long, usually glabrous, appearing 3-lobed, lobes longer than tube; corolla greenish-yellow; standard reflexed; wings shorter than keel; keel incurved, with straight, slightly darkened beak to c. 60 mm long. Pod subcylindrical, 7–10 cm long, glabrous, many-seeded; seeds 6–9 mm long, pale brown. Flowers Aug.–May
EGL. Also naturalised WA, Qld, NSW. Native to Africa. Known in Victoria from a single roadside population near Mallacoota, where apparently a garden escape.
