Fruiting hypanthium ± terete, lacking ribs or wings, strongly warty. Flowers and fruits Sep.–Feb.
VVP. Recorded once in Victoria from grasslands north of Melbourne.
While this subspecies generally appears to be well-defined, it is not clear if plants are always as distinct as defined above, or if they intergrade into the more common form of this species.
