Ceratogyne
Annual or ephemeral herbs, non-glandular, pubescent. Leaves radical and/or cauline, alternate, sessile, entire. Inflorescence cymose; capitula subsessile, overtopped by the closely subtending branch(es), loosely subglobular to hemispherical; involucral bracts uniseriate, leaf-like; receptacle minute, flat to convex. Outer florets female, uniseriate, ligules very short, ovate, style branches linear, glabrous; inner florets tubular, functionally male, 3–4-lobed, anthers shortly acute at apex, style branches rudimentary. Cypselas broadly Y- or T-shaped, involute on inner face, pubescent.
An endemic Australian monotypic genus.
