Monoicous or dioicous. Gregarious stems on soil. Stems erect, 2–6 cm long, simple, . Leaves erect-spreading when moist, crisped when dry, linear-lanceolate, 5.7–9.5 mm long, 0.9–1.5 mm wide, undulate, hardly sheathing at base; apex obtuse to acuminate; costa percurrent, with 3–6 lamellae, 2–5 cells high on adaxial surface, rarely without lamellae; margins doubly serrate, bistratose with a border of elongated yellowish cells; laminal cells subquadrate to ovate, 20–36 μm wide, smooth. Seta 1.5–4 cm long, reddish, smooth. Capsules erect or suberect, cylindric, slightly curved, 3.2–7.4 mm long.
