Leaves subtending flower clusters usually 1–2 cm long, becoming longer lower down the stem. Anthers 0.6–1 mm long. Nut rather obscurely trigonous, shining, each face with a broad longitudinal groove, otherwise smooth or slightly transversely wrinkled. Flowers Sep.–Nov.
LoM, MuM, Wim. Also WA, SA, NSW. Occasional in mallee scrub and mallee-heath communities on deep dune sands or loamier, often limestone-rich soils. Often abundant only after fire.
