Leaves subtending flower clusters often 3 cm long or more. Anthers 0.7–1.5 mm long. Nut distinctly trigonous or triquetrous, dull, conspicuously wrinkled or warty on the flattish faces. Flowers Oct.–Feb.
EGU, HSF, HNF, MonT, VAlp. Also NSW. Occasional on dry rocky ridges and outcrops, usually occurring in low open-woodland or shrubland, often becoming more frequent following disturbance such as fire. Scattered across eastern Victoria from Licola north to Pine Mountain and east to Mt Tingaringy, but probably most common in the upper Snowy and Deddick River area.
