Prostrate annual with branches to c. 50 cm long. Leaves trullate to angular-ovate, 2–5 cm long, 5–25 mm wide, papillose, semi-succulent; petiole 5–20 mm long. Flowers paired or in clusters of up to 5, subsessile; perianth segments 4 (rarely 3), triangular, c. 1 mm long, green and smooth on inner surface, papillose on outer; stamens 4; styles 2–3. Fruit dry, obpyramidal, truncate or broadly convex on summit, c. 4 mm long, 3–4 angled, c. 3 mm diam.; seeds 2 or 3, subgloboid, pale brown, 1.5–2 mm long.
EGU. Known in Victoria from a single 1970 collection from the Snowy River near the New South Wales border at Willis.
